An eight-week exercise program from the Arthritis Foundation starts Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the Draper Senior Center and runs through Thursday, Dec. 17.

The program uses low-impact movements to build strength, flexibility, balance and endurance, according to a listing on the Draper Journal events page. It is designed for people with arthritis, but the listing notes everyone is welcome.

The Arthritis Foundation describes the program as community-based and led by trained instructors who cover range-of-motion exercises, endurance-building activities, relaxation techniques and health education topics. All exercises can be modified to meet individual needs. The foundation says the program has demonstrated benefits including improved functional ability, decreased depression and increased confidence in one's ability to exercise.

The Draper Senior Center's October 2026 calendar lists "Arthritis Exer" sessions at 9 a.m. on multiple weekdays. The specific schedule for the session running Oct. 27 through Dec. 17 has not been published separately.

The center is at 1148 E. Pioneer Road in Draper. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Transportation is available. Residents can call 385-468-3330 for details about the program and schedule.
