Top-ranked Corner Canyon carries a five-game winning streak to Lehi on Friday, Sept. 25, when the Chargers face No. 3 Skyridge in a Region 3 matchup at 7 p.m.

The game will be televised on KJZZ and KMYU.

Corner Canyon (5-1, 1-0 Region 3) enters the road test riding momentum from a 37-14 victory over Lone Peak on Friday, Sept. 18. That win gave first-year head coach Casey Sutera his first regular-season victory over the Knights in three years and opened Region 3 play on a high note.

Senior quarterback Jaxon Pehrson powered the offense with three rushing touchdowns against Lone Peak, on runs of 35, 2 and 5 yards. Senior running back Jackson Carruth anchored the ground game. The defense delivered its own fireworks when Utah commit Diesel Dart returned an interception for a touchdown and Will Tenney added a fourth-quarter pick-six.

"Diesel got the pick-six and then we got the safety and that (created) energy and what we got from that was awesome," Sutera said after the Lone Peak game.

Skyridge (6-1, 1-0 Region 3) presents a different challenge. The Falcons beat Lehi 28-20 on Thursday, Sept. 17, and never trailed, according to KSL Sports. Junior quarterback Jagger Fountaine threw three touchdown passes in that game. Receiver Omarion Sanders hauled in scoring catches of 54 and 4 yards, and Malosi Shepard added a 54-yard touchdown reception late in the third quarter, according to On3.

Sutera, who previously served as Corner Canyon's defensive coordinator under Eric Kjar before a four-year stint as Brighton's head coach, set the tone for his first season back in July. He told the Deseret News when the Chargers were ranked No. 1 in the preseason coaches poll that the program expected to maintain the standard Kjar built, and that the players had invested in the offseason strength program.

Six games in, that investment has Corner Canyon atop On3's Utah Top 25 rankings. Skyridge sits at No. 3.

Friday's game is one of two Region 3 contests on the week's schedule. Lone Peak travels to American Fork on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m., also on KJZZ/KMYU.
