Draper City Hall opens as a vote center on Tuesday, Nov. 3, for the 2026 General Election.

Polls run from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to Draper City's official post on X. A ballot drop box in the south parking lot at City Hall is available around the clock through 8 p.m. Tuesday, Draper City said.

Salt Lake County voters are not tied to one polling place. Any registered voter in the county can cast a ballot at any vote center, according to the West Jordan city government. Voters who are in line by 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.

Voters can also drop off completed mail ballots at any vote center during voting hours.

Mail ballots: postmark no longer enough

One change this year affects mail-in voters. Mailed ballots must arrive at the Salt Lake County Clerk's office by 8 p.m. on Election Day, according to Salt Lake County voter information published by West Jordan. A postmark alone is no longer sufficient.

Voters who still have a completed ballot at home should use a drop box instead of the mail. Drop boxes across Salt Lake County remain open through 8 p.m. Tuesday, ABC4 reported.

Bring valid ID

Voting in person requires valid identification, according to Salt Lake County voter information. A current Utah driver license, Utah ID card or U.S. passport works. Voters without one of those can bring two documents that together show their name and current address, such as a utility bill or paycheck dated within 90 days.

Same-day registration available

The deadline to register and receive a mail ballot has passed. Utah allows same-day registration, according to Salt Lake County voter information. Voters can go to a vote center on Election Day with valid ID and proof of residency, register on the spot and cast a provisional ballot. To qualify, a person must be a U.S. citizen, be at least 18 by Election Day and have lived in Utah for at least 30 days.

Saturday session drew early voters

Salt Lake County Clerk Lannie Chapman held the county's first-ever Saturday early voting session on Oct. 31 at the Salt Lake County Government Center in Salt Lake City. The four-hour session ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It was the final day of early voting.

"We've seen great turnout," Chapman told ABC4 on Oct. 31. "Lots of people getting in that early vote before, of course, Election Day midterms."

Draper City Hall was one of seven satellite early voting sites that operated Oct. 27 through Oct. 30, according to the Sandy Herald.
