Draper's Planning Commission will consider a mixed-use office and warehouse project and a Rivian signage change when it meets Thursday, Sept. 24. Six items are on the 6:30 p.m. agenda at City Hall.

Five public hearings are scheduled, according to notices posted on the city's website. A sixth item, the Bangerter Crossroads commercial site plan, was continued from the Thursday, Sept. 10, meeting.

Academy Plaza site plan. The commission will consider a site plan for office, warehouse and vertical mixed-use buildings at Academy Plaza. City staff issued an administrative interpretation on the project July 10. Residents with questions can contact staff planner Todd Taylor at (801) 576-6510.

Rivian signage at Karl Malone Auto Center. A zoning text amendment would change signage rules within the Karl Malone Auto Center Commercial Special District at approximately 11601 S. Lone Peak Pkwy. The commission approved Rivian's dealership site plan at that location June 25 on a 3-0 vote. At that hearing, Rivian representative Karolina Kaczmarczyk said the company was "excited to expand into Draper, provide more job opportunities, and better serve their growing customer base." Staff contact is Todd Draper at (801) 576-6335.

Grange plat amendment. The request at approximately 603 E. 12000 South would combine two lots in the Grange Subdivision into one. The city's notice states public comment will not be taken at the meeting, though the session is open for attendance. Staff contact is Maryann DeHaven at (801) 576-6391.

Fratto subdivision plat amendment. The applicant seeks to subdivide Lots 1 and 8 of Block 23 in the Draperville Plat, at approximately 791 E. 12200 S. Staff contact is Nick Whittaker at (801) 576-6522.

Pony Express Center parking deviation. A commercial business center at approximately 12896 S. Pony Express Rd. is requesting a reduction in required parking spaces. Staff contact is Todd Draper at (801) 576-6335.

Bangerter Crossroads (continued). Troy Wolverton of AWA Engineering, representing Lloyd's TLC Limited, is seeking approval of phase 1 of a commercial site plan on roughly 12 acres at approximately 13782 S. 300 E. The item was originally on the Thursday, Sept. 10, agenda.

The city also continues to enforce its ban on e-motorcycles on all Draper sidewalks, paths, parks and trails. As we reported Thursday, Sept. 10, the city is stepping up patrols and fines for violations. That enforcement effort is not a specific agenda item for the Sept. 24 meeting.

All five hearing notices were posted Thursday, Sept. 10, by City Recorder Nicole Smedley. The meeting runs 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Draper City Hall, 1020 E. Pioneer Road. Residents can attend and speak during the public hearings.
