FranklinCovey, the global leadership training company behind "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People," now calls Draper home.
The publicly traded firm (NYSE: FC) has relocated its corporate headquarters to 13907 Minuteman Dr., Suite 500, according to the company's website and LinkedIn profile. FranklinCovey reported $280.5 million in revenue for fiscal year 2023 and operates in more than 160 countries. CEO Paul Walker leads the company, which was formed in 1997 from the merger of Franklin Quest and the Covey Leadership Center.
The relocation became public as part of one of the largest commercial real estate deals in Utah this year. The State of Utah purchased FranklinCovey's former West Valley City campus for $40 million, Colliers Salt Lake City announced Thursday, July 17. The five-building complex at 2650 S. Decker Lake Blvd. will become the new headquarters for the Utah Department of Health and Human Services.
The deal
The Franklin Campus spans 312,234 square feet across 21.7 acres. Its anchor building rises five floors and totals more than 168,000 square feet. The complex includes a cafeteria, fitness center, and auditorium.
Brandon Fugal, Colliers chairman, brokered the sale. "This landmark acquisition secures a campus capable of meeting Utah's operational needs for decades to come," Fugal said in a July 17 news release. "Acquiring an asset of this quality at a fraction of replacement cost reflects responsible stewardship of public resources."
How it was funded
Utah lawmakers set aside $35 million in one-time funding during the 2026 legislative session to acquire the campus, according to Building Salt Lake, which cited the state's budget documentation. The final purchase price came in $5 million above that appropriation at $40 million.
DHHS is currently headquartered at a multi-agency office building in Salt Lake City near North Temple. Neither FranklinCovey nor the state has announced a timeline for the DHHS transition or disclosed how many employees work at the Draper office.

The company's new office sits along Minuteman Drive, placing it in the cluster of tech and professional services firms that has defined Draper's economic growth near Point of the Mountain. FranklinCovey joins other major employers in the corridor, though no specific date for the company's move has been disclosed.
The department will move its operations to the West Valley City campus once the transition is complete. Colliers' quarterly office market reports for Salt Lake County show no other 2026 transaction approaching the $40 million Franklin Campus deal in size.
