Draper has closed Brookside Drive at Suncrest Drive for water line work, routing Maple Hollow neighborhood residents through a detour on Brookings Drive.

Draper City announced the closure on X on Sunday, Sept. 13. The city did not say how long the road will remain closed.

The closure is part of a project to replace two pressure-reducing vaults on the Suncrest Drive transmission line. Condie Construction started the work Aug. 3 at the Winged Trace and Brookside Drive intersections, according to an earlier city post. Draper City warned then that the project would escalate from shoulder closures to full intersection closures as it progressed.

The project has a Nov. 30 completion deadline.

Residents with questions can contact Public Works Director Scott Cooley's office at Draper City Hall, 801-576-6500 or [email protected]. The city also offers traffic and construction alerts through its Notify Draper service.
