Draper residents can meet local police officers and safely dispose of expired medications at a free Coffee With a Cop event Saturday, Oct. 24, at Harmons, 125 E. 13800 S.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon. Free donuts, hot chocolate and coffee will be available, Draper City announced on X.

Officers from the Draper Police Department will answer questions and chat with neighbors. Residents can also bring expired or unwanted medications for disposal.

The gathering is part of a quarterly Coffee With a Cop series run by Draper Police's Community Oriented Policing team. The department held a similar event at a different Harmons location on Aug. 15 and at the Daily Espresso drive-thru in May.

"I like interacting with people including the kids and showing them we're not jerks, we're people too," Master Officer Robert Barlow, a Draper Police veteran of more than a decade, said in June when the Draper Journal covered the May event.

Residents with questions can contact the Draper Police Department's non-emergency line at (801) 840-4000.
