Draper trail runners can sign up now for the city's annual Corner Canyon Half Marathon, 10K and 5K, with a Saturday, Sept. 19 race date and a Thursday, Aug. 20 deadline to guarantee a race shirt.

The event, organized by Draper City, sends runners through Corner Canyon's dirt trail system. The trails sit within roughly 5,000 acres of conserved open space that the city holds under a permanent conservation easement, ensuring the land will never be developed. Draper City calls Corner Canyon the "crown jewel" of its open-space system, according to the city's newsletter.

Registration fees for 2026 are $65 for the half marathon, $35 for the 10K and $30 for the 5K. Fees rose from last year, when the half cost $55 and both shorter races were $25. Day-of registration is available for runners who miss the early window, though a shirt is not guaranteed after Thursday, Aug. 20.

The race runs from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Last year's edition started and finished at the Andy Ballard Arena on Highland Drive; the city has not confirmed whether the 2026 race uses the same location.

Draper City posted the announcement on its official social media accounts Friday, Aug. 7, directing runners to register at draperutah.gov/half.

RunGuides, a race-listing site, lists the event at 100 to 500 participants each year, making it a mid-size trail race by Utah standards.
